
1998: From this year and
onwards, the quartet starts to work in projects and not fulltime as before.
“Saxomania – International saxophone music festival” in Estonia concert hall,
Tallinn – Estonia.
Saxophone summer course, now in Nynäshamn-Sweden.
Concert together with “Hammersta vokalensemble” (choir) in
Dalecarlia at the wonderful open-air stage “Dalhalla” (formerly a mining area).
Performs together with Englishman Mike Mower (known from the
saxophone group “Itchy fingers”) at the Music fair in Gothenburg-Sweden.
“Concerto grosso” – Anders Nilsson, soloist with Gothenburg
Symphony Orchestra and conductor Petter Sundqvist, broadcast in the Swedish
Radio.
Concert Tour to Germany.
Tour to Brazil, performing in different cities and giving
Master class at the Music Academy of Sao Paolo-Brazil.

1999: Gives a concert at the
Swedish Embassy in Rome-Italy and participates in a music festival on the
island Sicily-Italy.
Radio performance of Jonas Forssells “Tyst vår” (“Silent spring”).
“Ladies Next”, festival at the Culture house in Stockholm, premier performance
of “Skiffer” by jazz musician Amanda Sedgwick.
Tour to Ruegen-Germany and performing in “Autumnale, Internationales
Herbstfestival”.
Music festival in Gryt-Sweden.
Concert at Nalen, Stockholm, performing contemporary music “Fem avtrykk av
tiden” by composer Henrik Hellstenius. At the same concert also playing and
dancing in a medley of Bizet’s Carmen…..
Concert in Hillerød-Denmark.
Soloists with Forsvarets Stabsmusikkorps (military wind band), Oslo–Norway,
performing “Saxophonia” by Erland von Koch.

2000: Soloist in “Concerto grosso” – Anders Nilsson with “Orchestre
symphonique de Laval” at the “12th World saxophone congress”,
Montréal – Canada.
Tour to Tunisia, performing at the “Octobre Musical Chartage
2000”.
Concert at the Swedish Embassy and at the Music Academy in
Tunis, where also a master class is being held.
Premier performance of “Salveld”, Sergej Dmitriev –
Nynäsgården – Sweden.
Saxophone summer course, in Nynäshamn- Sweden. Guest teacher
Jonas Knutsson.
Premier performance of Mats Larsson Gothes “Paesaggi di
Wahlberg” and also performing Jan Sandström’s “Wahlbergvariationer-Rollin
Phones version” in Södertälje Art center- Sweden. The concert is a
“multimedia-show” with paintings from artist Ulf Wahlberg displayed on a screen
in the background.

2001: Premier performance of “Nisse”- Jan Levander and “Ocellatus”-Fredrik Söderberg in the Varberg Theater, Sweden. Both compositions are written for saxophone quartet and percussion. Percussionist, Markus Leoson.
TV: One TV show this year with focus on the “Multimedia project” performed in Södertälje Art center 2000.
Cooperation with the Royal Academy of Music, performing compositions by students at the “Afro American” composition class.
Tour in the southern parts of Sweden with percussionist Markus Leoson. Tour to the Faroe Islands, playing concerts and giving master classes.
Invited on a boat trip where the rollin’ gets too much for the Phones but ends happily with the most wonderful fish soup ever!

2002: Soloists with the Wind Band “Stockholms musikkår Tre Kronor” in
Saxophonia – Erland von Koch.
Concerts at the Swedish Embassy in Rome, Italy. The baritone
sax and the stage costumes get lost on the flight so the quartet ends up
playing with rented sax and rented carnival clothes…………..
Saxophone summer course, in new
location-Ingesund Music Academy, Arvika, Sweden-this year’s guest teacher is
Arne Tengstrand.
“Musik i Glasriket” – summer music festival, concert in
Gullaskruv-Sweden.
“Mittelrhein Musikmomente” – summer music festival, concert
in Bacharach – Germany.
Christmas concert together with Hudiksvall chamber choir and
soprano Kristina Hansson.
Performs “Wahlberg multi media project” with slides in south
Sweden.

2003: “Percussion project” in the area Gävleborg-Sweden, this time with
Japananese percussionist Mika Takehara. The concert in Sandviken, Sweden is
broadcast by Radio Gävleborg.
“Internationale Fredener Musiktage” Freden – Music festival
in Germany.Saxophone summer course at Ingesund Music Academy, Arvika-Sweden.
Performs at an exhibition of Swedish design in Zagreb –
Croatia. Concerts in the churches of Trosalund, Häggdånger and Ljustorp –
Sweden. TV performance together with Swedish celebrity singer Sten Nilsson.
Release party of new CD, “Wahlberg-variationer”, with
commissioned works for the group.
